Powell Avenue
- I assume that Powell Avenue was named in his honor, as president of Elyton Land Company and Mayor of Birmingham, in the same manner as Morris Avenue was named for Powell's partner Josiah Morris. I am working on the article for Powell Avenue and will include a link to this article unless I can find another source stating that Powell Avenue was named for someone else. --Wheresdib 09:44, 28 December 2007 (PST)
