Garywood Clothing in Birmingham?
- I grew up in Hueytown, and Garywood was an area that has now been annexed into Hueytown. I remember Garywood Clothing being on Valley Road in the late 70s, but that would have been in the Midfield city limits, possibly Fairfield's, but certainly not Birmingham's, at least not in 1976. Garywood Clothing eventually moved into Hueytown's corporate limits by at least the early 80s (it was "the" place to shop when I was in Jr. High). Birmingham didn't annex anything that far west until the 1990s when it got the Dolomite community during its attempt to annex Birmingport. --Wheresdib 19:10, 8 February 2009 (PST)
