- Suttles birth date ranges from March 2, 1900 to March 31, 1901, depending on the source. He either died in 1966 or 1968. His height was either 5'11", 6'0", 6'3" or 6'6" and he weighed anywhere from 195 to 250 pounds. His statistics are incomplete. I believe Baseball-Reference has the most comprehensive stats as compiled over years by the Baseball HoF's Negro Leagues committee leading up to his induction in 2006. Riley's book, therefore (which has him being born in "Brockton, Louisiana" and somehow mining coal in the coastal plain) is likely obsolete. --Dystopos 15:07, 23 May 2010 (PDT)
