Unlike J. R. Taylor, I did see this on network TV back in the 1980s. (I haven't seen it since.) I don't believe I was told it featured Alabama locations ahead of time, but the fact that it featured Sloss Furnaces and the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, places I'd actually been, as sets made a big impression on the teen or pre-teen me. I could be wrong after all this time, but I'm fairly certain no major location was named by its real life name. I also recall them talking about heading south the whole time, but the locations they used actually went from Birmingham to Huntsville to Mobile, as it says in the entry. I thought I remembered the U.S.S. Alabama being used at the end, but as I said it's been a long time and I could be misremembering. --Lkseitz 10:17, 3 March 2008 (PST)
