Date Order

  • Maybe it's just me, but I really don't like the ascending date order in this article. --Wheresdib 08:37, 4 May 2007 (PDT)
    • I agree. --Dystopos 08:40, 4 May 2007 (PDT)
      • I guess that puts me in the minority. (I like it.) But it did suffer from verb tense problems, which I believe I've corrected. --Lkseitz 12:12, 4 May 2007 (PDT)

1994

I came across a clipping in my files about the 1994 Crawfish Boil. It says:

The Beam's Crawfish Boil has grown from a backyard bar-b-que to a city-wide partying event. On June 11th, Zyedco will host the 9th annual "Beamfest" bringing 14 musical guests to entertain for 14 hours straight.

There's more info, but I'm confused because, unless Zydeco moved between 1994 and 1999 (my high school reunion met there one night), it's not in Lakeview as the BhamWIki article currently says. --Lkseitz 19:56, 18 September 2007 (PDT)

  • Not sure how to explain the discrepancy. I know that Zydeco continued to host Crawfish-Boil-related events well after the festival itself moved... but they surely would have mentioned that in your clipping. Guess it's time to do some digging. --Dystopos 21:10, 18 September 2007 (PDT)
  • I believe the "Beamfest" was separate from the actual "Crawfish Boil". And Zydeco has never moved, it has always been in the same spot, at least since the first time I went there, in early 1992. Well, at that time they didn't have the upstairs space. I know the Boil was in Lakeview for 1995 and 1996 because I attended both events. I believe 1996 was the first time they had 2 stages. --Wheresdib 07:21, 19 September 2007 (PDT)
    • Wait.. Lee. You have a clipping file? --Dystopos 08:41, 8 July 2014 (PDT)

Schaeffer Eye Center CityFest

Do we create a new article for the Schaeffer Eye Center CityFest or do we edit this page (see article)? --Wheresdib 07:54, 8 July 2014 (PDT)

  • Got it. --Dystopos 08:40, 8 July 2014 (PDT)
