Tannehill Trader

The Tannehill Trader is a free monthly newspaper published by Eagle Media, LLC in McCalla. It was founded in March 2007 as an 8-page newsletter, the Lake View News by Robin Stewart and Shirley Cate before quickly expanding to a 16-page tabloid format for the April edition. Supported by ad revenue, the free publication serves the areas of Abernant, Brookwood, Bucksville, Lake View, McCalla, Vance, Green Pond, Woodstock and West Blocton with neighborhood news and announcements.

Currently the paper is publised by Cate and Mary Christiansen. It is mailed to over 7,000 residents of the 35111 ZIP code, and also distributed at dozens of pick-up points for a total monthly circulation of 11,000 issues.
