The United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1657 (UFCW Local 1657) was a Birmingham-based local with about 2,000 members working in supermarkets and nursing homes in Alabama and parts of Florida and Mississippi.
The Local, headed by President J. R. Richardson, had offices in the McAdory Building at 2013 1st Avenue North in downtown Birmingham.
In January 2013 the organization merged with the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union Mid-South Council.
