Thanks

  • Ray, I want to thank you for all your work beefing up BhamWiki's coverage of local jazz musicians. Great work! --Dystopos 09:56, 11 July 2007 (PDT)

Tuscaloosa Horns

  • I received an email from Shane Porter asking for corrections to the Tuscaloosa Horns article. I'll post what they sent me to the discussion page for now, and try to work through any discrepancies when I get a chance. --Dystopos 11:15, 10 September 2007 (PDT)

Wikipedia links

  • If we have an article on the subject in question, please link to the BhamWiki page. We are striving to keep BhamWiki the one-stop source for all things Birmingham, so pointing a link to a Wikipedia page when we already have an article on here defeats that purpose. If the article on BhamWiki needs work, let us know, or edit it yourself. --Wheresdib 19:09, 8 June 2008 (PDT)

Mr President

  • Since the Mr President listings in the discography included so much descriptive information I moved that text to the "Performing, arranging and producing" section of your biography. If you have some information on the specific record releases (label, etc) that might be useful for putting a brief listing back into the discography section. In general the page was getting unwieldy with long descriptions of projects and lists of collaborators without focusing on your own work. --Dystopos 07:46, 22 September 2009 (PDT)

Images of CD Covers

Don't foget to use the {{Fair Use}} and {{Album cover}} templates when uploading CD covers. --Wheresdib 15:02, 14 October 2009 (PDT)

Repeated links

The reason your name was not linked in the second paragraph of Night Flight Big Band is because it had already been linked in the first. It may not be spelled out in our style guide, but the general policy is to only link to another article once. This especially holds true when the two links are in close proximity. --Lkseitz 09:59, 29 October 2009 (PDT)

  • Again, the general policy is to only link the first occurrence of a name having a Bhamwiki article. --Lkseitz 15:33, 10 June 2010 (PDT)

External links

  • I've removed a lot of the new links to your website, keeping the ones in the articles about you and your production companies. The articles on other artists and on performing groups don't need the link. People can click on your name in the text and find you there. I'd encourage you to take note of our expanded guidelines on avoiding conflicts of interest; Bhamwiki:Conflicts of interest. --Dystopos 18:02, 25 January 2011 (PST)
