Veterans Park is a 90-acre public park located at 7305 Alabama State Highway 119 in Alabaster. The park features five youth baseball/softball fields, two miles of lighted walking tracks, a skate park, two playgrounds, nine picnic shelters, batting cages, an arbor and a bluebird trail.

The park included a fenced off-leash area for dogs. In 2011, Jenny Wilson, executive director of the Shelby Humane Society, won the grand prize in a contest sponsored by Beneful dog food. The $500,000 award was used to reconstruct the 1-acre section of park as a "Dream Dog Park", with design and construction assistance from author Arden Moore. The park features a clubhouse for parties, a splash pool with a giant fire hydrant, and an agility training course. Additional funds were raised through the sale of brick pavers memorializing deceased pets. The park held its grand opening on July 12, 2012, with special guests such as actor Jason Cameron joining Wilson, Moore and Alabaster Mayor David Frings.
