WGIB-FM

WGIB-FM (FM 91.9) is a Christian format radio station established by Glen Iris Baptist School in 1982. The Federal Communications Commission licensed the station, whose call letters stand for "Where God Is Blessing", in September of that year. The station began broadcasting in early 1983. Since 2002 a sister station, WQEM-FM, has been simulcasting WGIB's programming at FM 101.5. The station's studios are located at Glen Iris Baptist Church at 1137 10th Place South.

WGIB currently broadcasts at 3,500 watts from a transmitter on Double Oak Mountain. (map). It uses digital repeaters W222AZ (FM 92.3) in Springville, W291BT (FM 106.1) in Jasper, W291CG (FM 106.1) in Odenville, and W300AE (FM 107.9) in Tuscaloosa. WGIB's programming is also broadcast on W47EI-D (WAY-TV) on UHF channel 47.
