Wonders of Alabama

Wonders of Alabama is a collection of paintings and mixed-media work by Alabama artists assembled between 1999 and 2015 by the Energen Corporation through an annual juried competition. Works selected for awards by the jury and by employees were acquired by the company and displayed at its headquarters offices in the Energen Plaza in downtown Birmingham.

After Energen was acquired by Diamondback Energy of Midland, Texas, the company arranged to donate the collection of 265 pieces to UAB's "Arts in Medicine" program. Some of the works may be displayed in public areas of the UAB Medical Center and some will be housed at the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts.
