Woodlawn United (also koown as the Woodlawn Foundation) is a community revitalization initiative working in the Woodlawn community to foster holistic positive changes, and specifically to reduce poverty. The project coordinates numerous individual efforts such as supporting educational opportunities with tutoring and mentoring, nurturing community parks and gardens, renovating housing, and promoting business development. Woodlawn United is now participating in the Atlanta, Georgia-based "Purpose Built Communities" network.

Sally Mackin is the group's executive director and Gillian Goodrich is board chair. The organization has an office at One 55th Place South. Member partners include the Mike and Gillian Goodrich Foundation, Main Street Birmingham, Cornerstone School, Christ Health Center, the Dream Center, the Woodlawn Community Association, and YWCA of Central Alabama.
