Innisfree Birmingham in July 2024

Innisfree Irish Pub is a Celtic-themed bar with locations in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.

The original bar was opened in May 1998 by Tripp Rogers and John Moss. It is named for W. B. Yeat's 1888 poem "The Lake Isle of Innisree". The world itself is an anglicization of the Irish "Inis Fraoch", meaning "heather island", referring to the uninhabited island in Lough Gill, southeast of Sligo, which Yeats visited in his boyhood.

In 2008 it moved to a larger space at 1925 University Boulevard. In February 2024 model Kendall Jenner made an appearance at the bar to promote her 818 brand of tequila.

A second Innisfree, owned by Derick Purdy, opened in 2001 at 710 29th Street South in Birmingham's Lakeview District. The bar's "24 Hours of Madness" St Patrick's Day party was documented by filmmaker Sam Frazier Jr in 2010.
