Kimbrough Homes is a 231-unit public housing project operated by the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District located at 2817 Wallace Covington Circle, off S. J. Bennett Drive in the Industrial Center neighborhood of Birmingham's Grasselli community.
The community is close to Wenonah High School and Lawson State Community College, and backs up to the Marathon Petroleum Corp. Birmingham Terminal. It was constructed in 1975.
Kimbrough Homes was the site of deadly shootings on December 28, 2005 and November 1, 2008. The complex was also the site of a February 4, 2021 gunfight, a stray bullet from which caused the death of 2-year-old Major Turner. An April of the same year a fire in the same building damaged eight units and left one resident dead.
