'''Muzaffar Iqbal Sheikh''' was a long-time teacher of world history and girl's soccer coach at [[Vestavia Hills High School]].

Sheikh was born and raised in Pakistan and graduated from Gordon College, Rawalpindi where he was a star member of the All-Pakistan Inter-Collegiate Debate Team. He came to the United States for graduate study in [[1968]]. After earning a double master's degree, he became a member of the first faculty when Vestavia High School opened in [[1970]].

In 2000 Sheikh was named "Metro Coach of the Year" in the ''[[Birmingham News]]'' All-State Soccer selections. In 2001 his Vestavia girl's soccer team won the state 6-A championship.

Sheikh retired from teaching in [[2005]].

Sheikh's son [[Qasim Sheikh|Qasim]] is the head coach of the men's soccer team at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
