News caption: "The bodies of two people trapped in their homes during the tornado silently await hearses. April 15, 1956 an F4 tornado struck Jefferson County around 3 p.m. and claimed 25 lives and injured 200 people. Seven communities were hit by the tornado according to the National Weather Service tornado survey and over 400 structures were damaged."
