McElroy Memorial United Methodist Church was located at 900 39th Street North in East Birmingham. Its brick mid-century traditional building was erected in 1947 by E. M. McElroy when the congregation was known as McElroy Memorial Methodist Church.
After McElroy Memorial closed, the building became the home of East Birmingham Church of God in Christ and later of Rhema Word Ministries
