Freedom Preparatory Academy is a planned K-8 charter school which is part of a Memphis, Tennessee-based network founded by attorney Roblin Webb. The Birmingham Board of Education voted against approving the school's charter in January 2022, but the Alabama Public Charter School Commission overruled that vote in May.

The school had expressed interest in acquiring the former Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School at 630 1st Street South in South Titusville as its home. Neighborhood leaders have opposed that plan.
