Eddie Garfinkle is the head football coach of the Birmingham-Southern Panthers. He was BSC's Defensive Coordinator for 2007, and replaced Joey Jones as head coach in February 2008 after Jones left for the head coaching position at the University of South Alabama. A graduate of Jacksonville State University, and a starting linebacker for the JSU Gamecocks, Garfkinkle has been a defensive coach for over 20 years, coaching at JSU, Georgia Southern, and Spain Park High School.
