The Birmingham Bowl is the provisional name for a post-season college football bowl game approved by the NCAA in 2006. The first Birmingham Bowl is scheduled for December 23, 2006 at Legion Field. The game, which will match a Big East Conference team against a representative of Conference USA, is put on by ESPN Regional TV. The organizers have received numerous commitments for sponsorships, but are still seeking a primary title sponsor.
