Marilyn Hewson

Marilyn A. Hewson (born c. 1954 in Junction City, Kansas) is the CEO of Lockheed Martin Corp., based in Bethesda, Maryland.

Hewson holds a bachelor's in business administration and a master's in economics from the University of Alabama. She went on to study at Harvard and Columbia. She joined Lockheed Martin in 1983 and became executive vice president of its Fort Worth, Texas-based aeronautics division. In 2008 she moved to the head the Systems Integration unit in Owego, New York and in 2010 became executive vice president of the Electronics Systems division. She had been serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of Lockheed Martin for less than a year before being tapped to succeed Christopher Kubasik as CEO in January 2013.

Hewson chairs the board of directors for the Sandia Corporation and is on the board for DuPont. She also serves on the Board of Visitors for Alabama's Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration and the Association of the United States Army Council of Trustees.
