Lake Wilborn is a proposed 499-home subdivision in Hoover's Trace Crossings community. The residential development is a project of U. S. Steel and Signature Homes.
Originally approved by the Hoover Planning and Zoning Commission in 2007, the 2008 recession delayed work until 2013. Modifications to the original zoning plan were approved by the Commission in November 2012, but approval of a proposed on-site wastewater facility was tabled.
