Bivens Chapel Cemetery was established sometime before 1836. It was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on December 19, 1991.
The second Sunday in May is the cemetery's annual "Decoration Day"

- Martha Bivens (1806-September 15, 1836), Wife of Colonel Robert Bivens and daughter of John Aikins and Ann Aikins
- Jim Parsons (1933-June 5, 2013), former Chief of the Birmingham Police Department
- William Spear, Revolutionary War veteren
