The Civitan International Research Center is located at 1719 6th Avenue South. It opened in 1992 and the official dedication ceremony was held on July 14, 1992.

A site-specific art installation, "Sentient Matrix", was commissioned from artist Sara Garden Armstrong for the building's central atrium.
