Jinsei (Japanese for "life") is a Japanese restaurant owned by John Cassimus and Charleston Wilson and located at 1830 29th Street South in Homewood's SoHo Square. The restaurant opened in June 2006 and features hot and cold dishes and sushi as well as several types of sake, wine and champagne, which will be made available by the glass.

The head chef of Jinsei is Nobuhito Kadoma, a 20-year veteren of Japanese restaurants in Osaka, Los Angeles and, most recently, NOBU in Aspen, Colorado.

In March 2009 the restaurant will move to a much larger space in the Aloft Hotel Homewood being constructed across the street from SoHo Square.
