Alabama State House of Representatives, District 73 is a legislative district which includes Pelham, eastern Helena, the eastern and southern areas of Alabaster, northern Montevallo, small parts of Chelsea and Calera, and a section of rural Shelby County west of I-65. In 2010 the district had 48,266 residents, of which 48% were Black and 44% were white.

Prior to redistricting following the 2010 U.S. Census, District 73 was located in Montgomery County. Matt Fridy's election to the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals in the 2020 general election led to a special election to fill his seat in July 2021.
