The Taste of Fourth Avenue Jazz Festival is held annually in Birmingham, Alabama's 4th Avenue North Historical District, jointly sponsored by the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame and Urban Impact of Birmingham. Music starts at 2:00 pm and continues until midnight. In addition to music, the event offers food, swing dance lessons and exhibits. The festival features nationally known jazz artists, as well as some of the best of local jazz talent.

The line up of jazz acts for the September 23, 2006 festival included:
- 1:45 pm - Opening by the Mayor
- 2:00 pm - New Orleans Style Parade
- 3:00 pm - Tommy Stewart Sextet
- 4:00 pm - Ray Reach and Friends
- 5:00 pm - Foxxy Fatts and Company
- 6:00 pm - Cleve Eaton
- 7:00 pm - Rolando Matias and the Afro Rican Ensemble, featuring Bobby Matos
- 8:00 pm - Johnny O'Neal
