Gene Reed?

I assume the Reed family were early settlers of northeastern Jefferson County. In the 35215 ZIP Code (Roebuck, Center Point) alone, there are three roads named for Reeds: Gene Reed Road, Polly Reed Road and just plain Reed Road.
