The 2009 Southern League All-Star Game was played on Monday July 13, 2009 at Regions Park in Hoover. The Southern League's northern division defeated the southern division by a score of 7-0 before 7,127 fans.
Tennessee pitcher Jay Jackson took the win in relief. Andrew Lambo went 3-4 to earn the game's most valuable player honor. The Barons' two starters, C. J. Retherford and Stefan Gartrell went a combined 0-6. Barons pitchers Clevelan Santeliz, Matt Zaleski and Fernando Hernandez pitched 3 2/3 innings of shutout ball.
Before the game 15 former Negro Leagues players were honored on the field.
On July 12 an associated home run derby was held at Rickwood Field.
