2020 Hoover municipal election: Difference between revisions

The 2020 Hoover municipal election was held in Hoover on August 25, 2020 to determine the Mayor of Hoover and all seven places on the Hoover City Council.

- Frank Brocato (incumbent), 9,969 votes (76.0%), winner
- Gene Smith, 3,147 votes (24.0%)
Hoover City Council:
- Place 1:
  - Curt Posey (incumbent), 9,456 votes (78.5%), winner
  - Leah Siefka, 2,590 votes (21.5%)
- Place 2:
  - Sam Swiney, 3,346 votes (27.1%), 1,643 votes (57.1%) in runoff, winner
  - Robin Schultz, 3,113 votes (25.2%), 1,236 votes (42.9%) in runoff
  - Ron Brown, 2,368 votes (19.16%)
  - Dina Shunnarah, 1,770 votes (14.3%)
  - Mitzi Eaker, 1,760 votes (14.2%)
- Place 3:
  - John Lyda (incumbent), 9,620 votes (78.2%), winner
  - Michael Jeffries, 2,679 votes (21.8%)
- Place 4:
  - Mike Shaw (incumbent), 9,472 votes (76.9%), winner
  - Nathan Reed, 2,840 votes (23.1%)
