The Alamo Theatre was a motion picture theater located at 1828 3rd Avenue North.

The Alamo was one of several so-called tabloid theaters in Birmingham from 1910 to 1921. According to a newspaper supplement published on Birmingham's centennial, "a typical tabloid show was made up of six to eight chorus girls, wearing tights or opera-length hose, two comedians and a leading lady and man," plus a piano player. The stage shows were usually paired with silent films.

The A-Muse-U, the Marvel, the Airdome and The Best Theatre were all considered tabloid theatres.
