Avenu Insights & Analytics formerly Revenue Discovery Systems (RDS) or RDS-Alatax is a company providing tax auditing and collection services to municipal and state governments. It is owned by Mill Point Capital of Centreville, Virginia.
Revenue Discovery Systems was formerly a wholly-owned division of the Norfolk, Virginia-based Portfolio Recovery Associates. Beginning in 2005, the division was headquartered in Birmingham, with an office at 2317 3rd Avenue North. RDS leased additional space at Beacon Ridge Tower at 600 Beacon Parkway West in 2011. They expanded their Birmingham operations in 2013 with a $200,000 incentive package from the City of Birmingham. They expected to add 200 positions with the expansion, bringing their local payroll to over 300 workers.
