The Project to Document the Birmingham District is a multi-media effort to create an accessible, accurate and comprehensive searchable archive of information, media and other resources about the Birmingham District of Alabama. The project was founded, along with this Wiki, on March 15, 2006 by Dystopos.
"The Project" includes this site, as well as the Magic City Flickr Group (a 600+ member group sharing their photographs of Birmingham on Flickr.com).
