Birmingham Fire Station No. 6, located at 317 15th Street North, is home to the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service's Fire Prevention Bureau as well as Fire Alarm, commonly known as dispatch. The station was relocated from 1501 3rd Avenue North. The former location is still standing and is now the Firehouse Shelter.
