Braden's Furniture, October 2013

Braden's Furniture is a locally owned furniture store located at 106 North Chalkville Road in downtown Trussville. Opened in 1957 by local resident Vernon Braden, the store was sold to his son Billy Braden in 1989. The store occupies a prominent block of downtown Trussville at the northwest intersection of Chalkville Road and Main Street (U.S. Highway 11).

A project to widen the intersection and provide a left turn lane off Chalkville Road as part of a master plan adopted by Trussville in 2013 will call for the demolition of the current building. Braden pledged to relocate the store somewhere in the area.
