Cahaba Valley Health Care (CVHC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed in April 2000 to provide access to health services for the underserved, primarily Hispanic community, in Jefferson and Shelby Counties and central Alabama. The executive director is Edwina Taylor and the organization's offices are located in Cooper Green Mercy Hospital at 1515 6th Avenue South. The group's board of trustees is presided over by Susan Davenport.

The clinic makes medical care more accessible to its targeted community by conducting health, nutrition, dental and vision screenings and educational seminars at local churches on Sunday afternoons with Spanish-speaking volunteers and staff. Clients with medical issues to address are referred to private practitioners equipped to meet their needs. Volunteer translators are made available to assist when needed. CVHC's services are provided free of charge and without reference to immigration status. Although the clinic targets the Hispanic community, any person in need is welcome to make use of its services.
