* A recent repeat of an episode of A Way With Words has led to a revelation for me. I selected "mountain passes" as the category name because I thought it was the most generic term. Apparently I was wrong. I guess whatever Westerns I watched as a child influenced me, as it turns out "mountain gap" is actually more widely used, particularly here in the South. (And is now also plainly evident from the articles in this category.) I'll see about changing the category name when I get a chance. --Lkseitz (talk) 10:55, 27 March 2023 (PDT)

** I guess I'd be interested in hearing that episode. A particular pass sounds fine to me to be named as a "gap", but calling a category "mountain gaps" sounds weird, like there was supposed to be a mountain there but God lost it before fitting it into place or something. Trying to think of something similar, and I guess if you have several persons who are known as "Reverend So-And-So" but definitely not called "Minister So-And-So", it would still sound weird to say they were a bunch of reverends instead of a bunch of ministers. --Dystopos (talk) 19:34, 27 March 2023 (PDT)

Cool

 • How cool is it that we have a category for THIS? --Dystopos 13:07, 4 April 2011 (PDT)

Category name

 • A recent repeat of an episode of A Way With Words has led to a revelation for me.
