The Contemporary South Dance Company (CSDC) is an innovative modern dance company that cultivates new contemporary dance in Birmingham, Alabama. Founded by William-Michael Cooper, our unique dance company is also a state recognized, not-for-profit organization with a mission to educate communities in the South about the arts through dance. We provide dance classes, master classes, and workshops to dancers throughout the South. We also bring professional dance performances created by the artists of CSDC to communities that would not normally have access to the arts.
