The Studio of Professional Arts (sometimes called 'Professor Huel Murphy's Studio of Professional Arts) was a dance studio located at 209½ 22nd Street North. It was founded in 1954 by Huel and Vera Murphy. Mrs Murphy's sons Ralph and Dale Serrano served as instructors from the time they were barely teenagers.

The studio offered lessons in tap, ballet, baton-twirling, modern dance, acrobatic, personality singing, ballroom dance and jazz dance. After the Murphys left, Dale's wife Becky took over administration of the school, which at one time boasted 27 locations. Among those were the American Legion Hall in Jasper and other facilities in Woodlawn and Bessemer.
