Dolly (born c. 1991, died September 2, 2009) was a cheetah at the Birmingham Zoo. At the time of her death, Dolly was the only cheetah owned by the zoo. The zoo's CEO, Bill Foster, said that Dolly was believed to have been the longest living cheetah in captivity, with the typical cheetah surviving four to six years in the wild and 10 to 15 in captivity. Dolly, who came to the Birmingham Zoo in 1993, had not been on display for two years prior to her death, and was euthanized do to health and age issues.
