The Dream Center is a mission outreach of the Church of the Highlands housed in the historic Birmingham Fire Station No. 12 at 5701 1st Avenue North.
The station and adjacent former Eastern Health Center were purchased from the Jefferson County Health Department for $300,000 and an additional $1.7 million was spent on renovations of the two buildings. It houses offices several of the church's community and outreach missions. The former county health clinic was modernized and re-used as a medical clinic by the non-profit Christ Health Center.
