After high school she entered the [[University of Alabama]], studying broadcast journalism, where she was a founding member of the RipTide dance team.

Ebonee Benson

Ebonee M. Benson (born February 18, 1986) was Miss Black Alabama USA 2005 and a Birmingham Steeldogs cheerleader.

Benson is the daughter of Alvin Benson and Michelle Hartwell. She attended Smith Middle School and graduated Hoover High School in 2004, where she was homecoming queen, a varsity cheerleader, a Peer Helper, and voted "Best All-Around". After high school she entered the University of Alabama, studying broadcast journalism, where she was a founding member of the RipTide dance team.

In 2011, Benson graduated from the Xcell Academy, a Paul Mitchell school of hair styling and cosmetology, while working at MAC Cosmetics at The Summit.
