Edward B. Vines (born March 27, 1964) is a district court judge at the Bessemer courthouse. He served as Deputy Probate Judge for the Bessemer Cutoff from 2001 to 2005. He was appointed in 2008 by Governor Bob Riley to succeed the retiring Ralph Coleman Jr, and narrowly survived the challenge of Democrat Lynniece Washington in the 2010 general election to keep his seat.
Vines is a graduate of Samford University and the Birmingham School of Law. He has practiced as an attorney and served as an assistant circuit clerk and assistant tax collector before becoming a Deputy Probate Judge.
