Europa

Europa was a happening nightlife spot downtown hub before the loft community took hold. It was one of the first businesses to bring an adult crowd downtown after hours. Sunday "Tea Dance" at Europa was known far and wide. Even though the bar catered mostly to the Birmingham's gay community, on any given night the place was packed with people from all walks of life. The huge facility was two stories with a live DJ and a wrap-a-round second tier.
