Students protest the integration of Birmingham City Schools in front of Woodlawn High School on September 12, 1963.
(BM3)BIRMINGHAM, ALA., Sept. 12--STUDENTS DEMONSTRATE AT WOODLAWN--Confederate flags wave and white students demonstrate at Woodlawn school in Birmingham today. Although Woodlawn in not one of three desegregated schools, students from other schools staged a demonstration protesting integration. It was broken up by police.
