Photograph of May 3, 1963 by Charles Moore (Black Star) showing a police dog tearing the leg of a black man's pants following a protest at Kelly Ingram Park. The image is copyrighted to Moore and the Black Star agency and is published here under the doctrine of "Fair Use" because of its iconic and irreplaceable nature as a record of a historical event.
