The Friends of Old-Time Music and Dance (previously the Birmingham Country Dance Society) is an organization which promotes contra and other traditional styles of dance. The club hosts monthly dances at the Downtown YWCA and an annual dance retreat in Mentone. All events are open to the public, with all levels of experience welcome.
