Glenwood Mental Health Services is a non-profit organization focusing on serving the mental health needs of children and teenagers. The organization has a special focus on working with those who are autistic. It was founded in 1973 as Child Mental Health Services. The program began as a school for 18 children with autism and severe behavioral disorders, and has grown to a campus with 363 acres and 270 staff members. Now able to serve up to 2000 clients, the organization is headquartered in southeastern Jefferson County.
