GuideSafe is a symptom-tracking platform for smart devises created by the University of Alabama System as part of its re-opening plan for the 2020 fall semester, during the ongoing 2020 Coronavirus pandemic.

The application incorporates test reporting, user-provided symptom tracking, and proximity-enabled notification of extended contact with others using the app who t. Users can generate a 24-hour "passport" which universities require for entry into events and common areas such as dining halls.

Sue Feldman and Mohanraj Thirumalai, health informatics faculty at the UAB Department of Health Services Administration, led development of the program with input from UAB administrators. The smartphone app was produced by MotionMobs.

GuideSafe was made available to university students on August 3, and to the general public on August 17.
