James-Paul Dice (born in Florida) is the chief meteorologist for television station WBRC.

Dice began his career as a broadcaster while still in high school. He went on to graduate from the University of Florida and the Mississippi State Broadcast Meteorology Program and also earn his Master's in geoscience at Mississippi State University. In 1995, he began as the weekend meteorologist and a weekday reporter for WCJB-TV in Gainesville, Florida.

Dice next moved to WHNT-TV, the CBS affiliate in Huntsville, in 1997. During his 11 years at WHNT, he earned seals of approval from the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the National Weather Association, won the Associated Press Best Weather Anchor award in 2004 and 2006, and received the New York Times Broadcast Group President's Award for his work in the deployment of the first polarimetric Doppler radar system for television known as ARMOR. He also became the first meteorologist in Alabama to earn the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal from the AMS. While in Huntsville, Dice also married his wife, Stacie, and had a son named Spencer.

On July 14, 2008, the sale of WBRC to Local TV LLC was completed. Local TV had bought WHNT the previous year. The two stations having the same owners helped clear the way for Dice's promotion.
